GFA PRESIDENT MR KURT OKRAKU VISITS ASHANTI REGIONAL FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

On Sunday, 18/02/2024.

The GFA President paid a courtesy visit to the Ashanti Regional Football Association, meeting with the 11- member Executive Council of the Association. The visit, is as a result of his vision of fixing the fundamentals of Association Football in the country.

In his address, he encouraged the committee to work selflessly with diligence in their discharge.
He noted on the models rolled out since his tenure in office emphasising on his initiative on various logistics and financial supports provided to the RFA. Ie. Footballs for the regional teams, Allowance for the Chairman and Vice, Allowance for the regional Referees manager and other subvention for the RFA.

He also rolled out coaching education which has provided access for coaches to acquire their Licences.

He cited the need to identify and encourage young talents with refereeing potentials to be enrolled in the Catch-Them-Young policy to be fully groomed to officiate matches at the grassroot level and subsequently qualifying for professional level refereeing.

In His closing remarks he encouraged that the RFA which represents the GHANA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION at the regional level should replicate the structures of the FA to ensure a synchronised administrative process.

The executive Council of the ARFA on same day conducted a peaceful electoral process to select their Vice chairman.

At the end of proceedings Mr. Isaac Adu Gasper emerged winner with 6 out of the 10 votes casted. Hence, Mr. ISAAC ADU GASPER was duly elected by the House to be the next RFA Vice CHAIRMAN of Ashanti.
